Storage Made Simple - 5 tips on how to clear that clutter
1. Get hooked! Attach stick-on hooks to the inside of kitchen cupboard doors to hang things such as tea towels, oven gloves or utensils on, and make the most of your cupboard space as well as making things easy to grab. These hooks from B&Q are only £3.48: https://www.diy.com/departments/3m-command-white-plastic-hooks-pack-of-2/197509_BQ.prd
2. A magnetic attraction! Attach a self-adhesive magnetic strip somewhere in the bathroom (like inside a cupboard or along the bottom of the mirror) and stick all your loose small metal items like tweezers, nail scissors and hair grips to it. It’s so easy to do; you could even do the same in the office for paperclips! Get 3 metres for £4 from Hobbycraft here: https://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/stix2-self_adhesive-magnetic-tape-3-metres/606215-1000
3. Rack it up! Wire mesh magazine racks in your cupboards is an effective way to store foil, clingfilm, bin bags and other rolls that tend to tumble out of your kitchen cupboards, and the wire mesh make it easy to see exactly what’s in them. Lie them facing out on their long edge to make it even easier to grab what you want in a second! Check out this one from the Post Office Shop for only £3.49: https://www.postofficeshop.co.uk/office-supplies/desk-accessories/magazine-files/q-connect-mesh-magazine-file-black-kf00862/?
4. Fill your boots! An over-door shoe rack is a fabulous space saving idea; not only can you store all your shoes so you can easily see them, but it also prevents you tripping over floor-based shoe racks (or is that just me that does that?!) Have a look at this one from Lakeland that holds 24 pairs for £24.99: https://www.lakeland.co.uk/25663/24-Pair-Over-Door-Shoe-Storage-Rack
5. Behind closed doors! Buy a simple hanging shower caddy, but hang it on the inside of your wardrobe or cupboard door. It’s perfect for storing things like hairdryers and other medium-sized items you use often.
