Submission of Lake District National Park Local Plan

The Lake District National Park Authority have submitted their Local Plan to the Planning Inspectorate for Examination.

The Local Plan is a set of policies which will be used by the Lake District National Park to inform decisions on planning applications. When adopted, the plan will play an important role in shaping how towns and villages develop, protecting and enhancing our natural environment, developing our local economy, improving leisure and visitor facilities and supporting more sustainable forms of travel.
